ARTWORK

Aaron & Jojo, 1967

Beryl was a prolific artist, illustrating her first novella, Filthy Lucre, written as a young girl, and often painting portraits of friends and lovers. In her later career she frequently embarked on a series of paintings after the publication of a new novel, incorporating scenes and characters, and enjoyed blending historical figures with her own personal experiences.

A selection of her works are displayed above.
